Self-Assessment Recommendation

A problem gambler, as understood by the NRGP, is anyone who spends so much money and/or time gambling that they do significant harm to themselves or to others.

If at any point you feel that gambling has become a problem or an addiction, we encourage you to take the below self-assessment test. This will help you assess the impact gambling is having on your life and it will help you stay in control or take action if needed:

If you answer ‘Yes’ to 5 or more of the following questions we recommend you seek help:

3. Do you increase amount of money to gamble with in order to win what you’ve lost previously?
4. Do you chase after your losses?
5. Have you ever lied to anyone about your gambling behaviour?
6. Has your gambling behaviour caused damaging consequences in your family, work/school or social life?
7. Have you unsuccessfully tried to stop your gambling behaviour?
8. Do you feel restless and irritable when you try to cut or stop your gambling behaviour?
9. Have you borrowed or asked money to gamble with?
10. Have you ever done something illegal to get money to gamble or pay gambling debts?

Do you need a break away from gambling?

JackpotStar 777 is committed to creating a platform where players can take a break away from gambling at any time.
If you are concerned about your gambling behaviour, you should contact us via [email protected] and your requested exclusion period will be activated.

We will also take all reasonable steps to ensure you do not receive any promotional material during this time. Nevertheless, if you have subscribed to or liked our Social Media channels, we strongly recommend you take steps to ensure you don’t receive our news and/or updates through these channels.

Safeguards on the sign-up and banking processes make it very difficult for any customer to open a duplicate account. Self-exclusion is therefore a very effective way to control gambling that has become a problem for you.

You will need to send us a written request to reactivate your account, after the exclusion period ends.

If you are thinking about self-exclusion it is important you contact all other gambling companies with whom you have accounts and make the request to self-exclude with them too as well as the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board whose contact details can be found on our contact us page.
