Oz Lotto is one of the most popular lottery games Down Under, offering some of the largest recorded payouts seen in Australian lottery history. It has a modest starting payout of AU $2 million (approximately US $1.5 million).

But despite this, it has produced two (2) of the biggest payout wins in Australian history. The largest Australian payout won was AU $112 million (approximately US $87 million) on the 6th of November 2012 and was shared amongst four (4) lucky winners.

The Australian lottery has a 25 payout rollover limit. If the payout has not been won after the 25th Oz Lotto draw, the prize will be rolled down to the second prize tier.

When is the Oz Lotto draw?

The Oz Lotto draw is drawn weekly, every Tuesday at 20:30 (AEST), from Melbourne and is broadcast on TV Channel 7. Soon after the Oz Lotto draw, the Oz Lotto results will be updated on Lotto247.

Established in 1994, the Oz Lotto began as a simple and straightforward 6/45 lotto game. Initially, players had to select six (6) Oz Lotto numbers from a possible pool of 45 numbers.

The Australian lottery grew and developed over time, and a decade after being launched, a 7th main number was added in October 2005. As a result of the addition of the extra number, the Oz Lotto, in certain Australian territories, was renamed Super 7’s Oz Lotto and Oz 7 Lotto.
