When the Oz Powerball was launched, it was initially modelled on the American Powerball, and it followed a very similar game format.

Two (2) separate ball barrels are used during the Oz Powerball draw. The first ball barrel contains 35 numbers, and the second barrel has 20 numbers.

During the Oz Powerball draw, seven (7) winning numbers are drawn from the first barrel, with one (1) number, the Powerball, drawn from the second barrel.
